John was the estimating manager for the southern region of Keepmoat Group. This involved running a department of estimators who would price (Tender) large design and build contracts for various clients in the public and private sectors. This tender process would involve going through outline or detailed design concept documents and completing the following stages –
- Complete full analysis of outline project to access risks and viability.
- Breakdown the project into subcontract elements and tender.
- Programme the proposed works
- Lead design of all elements that are outline at tender stage to complete pricing (leasing with architects and engineers)
- Complete a full and detailed assessment of the project and how it was going to be delivered.
- Was secured handhold contract team in setting up the project and the letting of subcontract packages, attending design development meetings as required.
